Do-It-Yourself Boler A/C

We want to be ready for muggy days and nights, so we picked up a used portable A/C unit on wheels. Having the infamous eyebrow window above the stove, we had to make our own adapter plate for the unit's exhaust hose vent. At Home Depot we picked up two metal duct work end caps. Easy bending and cutting left us with two pieces, about 8" by 5.5". Press fit over window frame, and we were set! Easy- peasy with about one hour 's work! Sorry about the upside down pics...

Is this a portable that has separate air intake and exhaust for the air that cools the condenser?
My question on this type is that most of the ones I see have the cooling air for the condenser drawn from the room and exhausting outside.
In that case the air exhausted has to be replaced by air the "leaks" in from the outside, negating some of the cooling from the AC.
If possible ducting this required air from the outside through the unit and back outside would help out.

Boler A/C

I hear you about the venting. This unit, on rollers, is like a tall dehumidifier, with a remote. I can get enough suction leakage from the door seam or just keep the door eyebrow window open a crack. Cooling this baby takes only a few minutes, then tone down to a lower setting. I shall keep the unit in tow vehicle when not in use, to free up the "dance floor". Lol!

Since you are usually connected in a park where the cost of the power is dialed in the rent, who cares how efficient the system might be?
