Wanted: 13 Fiberglass camper wanted in Los Angeles!!

We are looking for a 13 burro/ el macho/ boler fiberglass camper. My husband, son and I want to restore it, so ideally we are looking for one that needs a lot of love and is therefore on the less expensive side. We are happy to road trip up to 750 miles to pick it up!

Hi, this is perfect timing! My husband and I have a 1973 13' boler we're seriously considering selling. We bought it last April from a nice couple who had just bought it from a senior man in Canada. We paid them $7500 for it. We had big dreams of redoing fixing it up like you do, but between getting married and work we just haven't had the time -- nor the skillset frankly. It's in good shape. The couple we bought it from had added air conditioning and a new fridge. They had also repainted the outside and inside. We haven't done anything to it except I just spent a grand recovering all the cushions in a really nice white, stain-resistant quality fabric called Crypton from Calico. I'd love to get what I paid for it plus the other things I've bought: some nice hardware and lights and tile which we intended to install, and the cushions... So total I'm asking is $9000. I'm not much about making money off it -- I just want it to go to a good home. She's really cute. It's been sitting in the sun for a year so there is a new crack in the fiberglass under the front window but from everything I've read, those are simple enough to fix for people with more know-how than us. Good luck on your search! I was looking last year and was lucky to find something within 2 months of looking but there aren't that many 13' trailers, especially if you are particular about a brand. (What's an El Macho?) Most are 17' Casitas and some Scamps and they all go for over $10K, at least. I am not trying to discourage you just saying you should probably expand your criteria and distance willing to travel if you want to camp SOON

A good thing is that when season is over, there will be more trailers coming on the market and sellers may be more agreeable to negotiate.
