Canada Update 8/12

I called Canada Customs yesterday.

We are dual citizens so call the hotline and check
customs canada site as the rules are changling for Americans and then others entering Canada.

Until April 2020 we crossed monthly camping in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

Traveling by car:

Govt hotel Quarantine 3 days.
72 hr Covid Test
Proof of vaccination.

There is an app called canadaarrive to fill out before crossing
Note the fines and penalties

CDN Charter of Rights:Life Liberty and Security

USA Constitution:
Life Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness

We will pass until sanity resumes in 2024.

Thank you for the update and the insight.
My family will follow your example until significant changes are made.
I will keep an eye on changes to B. C. in particular since it is most easily accessed by us in California.
We have a lot to explore here in the U.S.A. that is within the same 1050 miles.

I don't know what the rules will be for when Canadians will be allowed to travel south but I'm hearing one will be that we can be no longer than 60 days between our first and second vaccinations and that only Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson will be accepted. That will exclude a lot of people.

Many thanks for your update. I'm looking forward to visiting Banff next summer. As much as I want to see it, I'm not going anywhere that requires that supersized Q-Tip to get shoved up my nose!

My test at CVS when I headed to Canada from the Algonac rally used a normal sized "Q" Tip & I did it myself at the drive in window with the clerk doing a 15 second count. Took 36 hours for the results. Well worth the trouble to get to see Banff...
