STAY HOME STAY SAFE

Mike Mc I know you don't like what I have to say.. but hear goes . in Canada all province's have public health acts in place now if you cross provincial borders you must self isolate for 14 days no going to the store etc. except for medical people, truck drivers delivery of food medical supplies etc. also many towns in the north (fly in or only a few roads) are closed to outsiders ,(unless people self isolate 14 days) , the public health act states the public health officer can makes rules for the good of all the people...Canada has a population of about 35 million not 350 million like the U S Canada has less cases per population, it makes me mad that our neighbours and friends to the south that all states are doing every thing they can to stop the spread of corvid 19 for the good of all the people and letting a few people get others get sick STAY HOME,STAY SAFE,

I've never held a lot of respect for RV Life articles or their authors, but this is the most irresponsible piece I've ever seen.
Deeper in the article, they try to sell you an RV.

How does one raise their hand on a forum such as this?
OK, maybe this.

I will not claim to know all the minutia but I do know this about the future:

Everyone on this planet alive today will eventually die.
There will be future pandemics after COVID-19 is under control.
There will always be some people who say and do stupid things.
There will never be universal agreement on any controversial topic.
And finally, someone here will likely take umbrage with my post.

I’ll let you know as soon as I look up the word “umbrage “ in the dictionary .
Until then we’re cool !

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out in states that have failed to, or were slow to enforce social distancing. The southern states share some other unfortunate characteristics. Higher incidence of chronic health problems such as obesity and the resulting diabetes and HBP, failure to expand Medicaid and other health care deficiencies. https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...people/609241/

Diabetes , obesity , alcoholism and HBP are not unique to the south .
The same maladies are highly prevalent in my home state of Wisconsin.
I found it interesting that if you look at the studies ranking the top 50/ 100 medical centers / hospitals in the US ( Think Mayo Clinic )they do seem to be concentrating in certain Geographic areas
At one time Minnesota had 4 of the top 50 medical facilities in the US . I don’t remember all the criteria for the ranking or if the study had certain biases
Large cities did better than rural areas but that’s to be expected .

I pointed this out a couple of weeks ago when it showed up at the bottom of the page, under the rubric "You might also like:" I thought then it was weird, to say the least.

Did you hear about the 104 year old man who contracted Covid 19 in the nursing home where he lived, and he has recovered from it?

What you may not have heard was, the doctors treated him with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin. I wonder if that helped him?

Here's a paper from 2005 on Chloroquine for Covid-type viruses:

Hmmm. I'm a bit skeptical on that one. She would have had to be practically a newborn.

Obviously, but she didn't claim to remember it and was just as surprised as anyone when they told her what they had found.

She has survived 2 Pandemics at least so far.

Why wouldn't you believe it?

Sorry. It just seemed too "cute" at first reading, but it's quite a story. Confirmable online.

Well said, and it should have a calming effect on the tone of these exchanges.

We used to say in my work (engineering) that the Devil is in the details. Or, as you say, minutiae.

That link, and every link I saw, confirms that she was in fact alive during the period of the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918/1919. Since it's 2020 and she is 102, it's pretty obvious she was alive then.

I searched many many links and I can't find a single one that states that they actually found the antibody in her system. If anyone has a link that confirms that anyone found Spanish Flu antibodies in her system, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Here is another one I thought was in pretty bad taste. I even commented as such but of course my comment wasn't approved. They only approve the comments that praise the articles.

I figure it's a lot more effective to comment on RV Life here on forums than to register with them, so they can delete the comment.
