How inspiring! Now I have hope! Hope that this pandemic will not arrest our progress but instead lead to even greater triumphs of the human spirit and undreamed of attainments of intellectual accomplishments.

At least that was my first reaction... then I read https://www.newyorker.com/culture/cu...ductive-plague

There's a new study to make us laugh about masks. It confirms that it's not the cough that kills everybody. Before you cough if you have it and you talk, tiny droplets get sprayed into the air around you. They can linger about for several minutes.

Good luck with that, eh?

Hey, I thought the intent of this thread was humor to provide a little relief from that other "stuff".

Just black humor....nothing serious. Please keep it light and maybe we can avoid another lock-down... -- remember MASH?

I thought it funny. Guess that's why my comments get deleted.

Living in 2020 means you can go to the store and buy pot with a debit card but need to take cash to a dark alley in order to buy a haircut.

Even risk getting some of that bad haircut going around that was sprayed with paraquat and makes you sick. (man if you get that you are no spring chicken for sure)

I remember the paraquat scare, but I'm not that old.

Oh crap, I just counted, and I am that old!

Attachment 134952I have defeated the squirrels. I have two bells, one over the other. When they put their weight on the top one, it tips. They try to grab the edge and swing under, but hit the bottom bell and fall to the ground. They have quit trying.

Did you notice that the video titled "Building the Perfect Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder" never actually resulted in one?

At least you deliver! But, do you have any slow-motion videos?!?

I have to admit that I didn't watch the video. I have an aversion to videos. Too late to try to shoot one. The squirrels don't try anymore and I refuse to buy seed to fill the feeder and provide a banquet for rats that gather underneath after the birds make a mess.
