RE: RV Life | Covid-19 Park Closure News

In regards to the announcement of Park Closures as reported by RV LIFE:

I suggest that you do not take the info from RV Life as gospel. Contact the parks directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information. Perhaps the info on the RV Life website was correct at one time but it is not dated so one can't say, and it is incorrect three days after SC announced closings.

As of 30 March, the RV Life website says this:
Campgrounds and cabins are open in South Carolina State Parks. No new cabin or camping reservations will be accepted with arrival dates between now and May 7, 2020. Reservations already made between now and May 7 are being honored at this time.

However three days earlier the SC State Park System sent this e-mail to people with reservations (this info is also on the SC State Parks website as of 30 March):

Beginning Saturday, March 28, all state parks in South Carolina will be closed through Thursday, April 30. The closure is designed to keep visitors and employees as safe as possible by mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

Visitors who are currently occupying campsites and cabins can remain throughout the duration of their rental reservation as long as they continue to practice the state's recommendations for social distancing.

All new reservation arrivals, however, from Saturday, March 28, to Thursday, April 30, will need to be cancelled or rescheduled to a later date.

If you have a reservation at a South Carolina State Park arriving between
March 28, 2020 - April 30, 2020 and would like to reschedule your reservation to a new arrival date of May 8, 2020 or later, please call our Call Center (1-866-345-7275; Mon, Wed, Fri (9:00am - 5:00pm).

If you do not wish to reschedule your reservation at this time, you may cancel your reservation online at at no charge.

Important: Any reservation that has not been cancelled or rescheduled by the close of business on Friday, April 3, 2020 will be automatically cancelled and refunded at that time.

I read this morning that Yellowstone is about to reopen. Southern sections first.

Yeah it's complicated since Montana and Wyoming have different quarantine rules in effect for out-of-staters right now.
