Trailer: 1986 19 ft Bigfoot
Posts: 76
Post

It has been over 2 months since we got our 19' Bigfoot and after, cleaning, stripping, polishing, waxing, painting, upgrading the water heater, wheel bearings repacking, new tires, new battery, Microwave installation, new curtains, new seat covers, building and installing an aluminum storage box for the generator, today we installed the new decals on the trailer and it felt grrrreattt....

Last thing will be to redo the countertop and table top...

It has been quiet a project but we had fun and we are ready to go camping again.

Here are the pictures of the project:

Frederic, come polish ours! Yours looks fantastic! I love the new graphics. We have not decided what we will put on ours.

One of my mini blinds, the one over the sink, has that kind of opener. I thought someone had added the flexi wand because the original had broken. Now I see it came that way!

How's your Bigfoot coming along?

I saw the pix, it really is a nice trailer.

Thanks and keep us posted on the progress.

It's coming along. Eric finished installing the new landing gear jacks this evening. The two remaining projects that have to be done right away are new steps and fixing the ceiling sag.

Looking good Frederic. Those are nice trailers. Did you by chance buy that from Len in BC?

Will look forward to seeing the final product, that is if one is ever done with the repairs, upgrades and mods.

Thank you. Yes we got it from Len.
You're right, I don't know if we'll ever be completely done with a trailer....
Next will be the counter and table top and we are also working on modifying the sleeping quarters in the front to extend the width by about 14 inches....

I'll post the results (one day...).

Cheers,

Frederic

I had contemplated buying it last year and doing major work inside, something that would give a bigger bed being my main focus too. My wife poo-poo'd this idea though, as I have way too much other stuff needing done. You sure can't beat the build quality of that trailer, definitely something worth working on. I am jealous to some degree, and look forward to seeing your solution for the bed.

Looks great! Maybe you could come join us at Taidnapam Park next weekend to show it off! We should have nice weather for the Second Annual Washington State Get Together, June 4-7. After being booked for ages, there are suddenly lots of open sites. We've had a couple of cancellations, plus the park just opened the new area of the campground. We hope you can join us! Thanks a lot guys, too bad I have to work that weekend. The weather is so nice right now, it makes it even harder to not be able to go....
