This appears to be the second of the two that have been restored. I believe it debuted at the Palm Springs Modernism Expo a couple of years ago and
sold not long afterward. Probably an older article, since the sale ad is expired.
A site search should turn up numerous old threads with photos of both.
Had to chuckle at the comments saying things like, "they don't build them like this any more." (1) This one was never built like this. It's not a restoration but a resto-mod. (2) Very, very few RV's were ever built to this level of craftsmanship, and certainly not for ordinary folks. (3) If you do have the deep pockets, you can still buy a new Bowlus Road Chief. It doesn't rise quite to the level of this one-off, but it's very nice, indeed. Bottom like, craftsmanship isn't dead. But it costs, always has.
