Is this the Trailorboat, WITHOUT THE BOAT, that was on the San Francisco Bay Craiglist (ad number 390214820) the first week of this month? As we talked about in that thread, none of us Trailorboat owners can verify that Dorsett Boats ever made this trailer. Probably why nothing is returned on your Google search and is considered "very rare"!

I notice the Craigslist ad is down, and with it the photo, but if memory serves, there is just one Dorsett logo on the left side of the trailer and the boat is missing from the roof? If you own this trailer, we'd all (the Trailorboat Group) like to know more about it! A photo or two would also be much appreciated for the Trailorboat Group archives. Good luck with your sale!

Don't know Dan, found it over at Casita Classifieds
and didn't look like anything I'd ever seen. There is a photo over there and it looks like it possibly could be the trailerboat sans boat.

That's the one!

Nothing more than a Trailorboat that has "lost" the "...Boat" (unfortunately, I've seen a LOT of them like that) and had a Dorsett logo slapped on the side. A Trailorboat without a boat just ISN'T that "rare" AND, for the $3,800 asking price, I can direct you to a couple of COMPLETE Trailorboats for sale!

You ought to build a mold of your boat and have some "boats" made to sell to all these boatless trailerboat folks....

Could be an interesting business if there were enough of them out there.

As I pointed out in the other thread, Tow-Row Trailers of Tacoma Washington WAS making knock-off boats at $600 a copy (and complete trailers AND boats for $2995) --- and they went belly up! Don't need a ton of bricks to fall on me to get the picture; there is DEMAND for the product but not COMMITMENT to pay the price.
