1976 ventura New to me some Questions

I just bought my trailer, I have a couple of questions right now,
1. in the middle of trailer it sticks out a bit, wider in the middle, is that normal?
2. is there an easy way to fix the sagging roof
3. any problems with the belly band on this trailers

Why does this sound so much like an old human body? Mine?

1 Yes the Ventura is angled so its wider at the belly band
2 Yes and no, you will need to take out the closet, top cupboard and ceiling panels. You will find some 1x2 roof braces that are cut half way through to allow them to be arched (but are probably broken. I glued mine then arched some 3/4" aluminum square tubing to screw to the sides of the 1x2 to restore the arched ceiling. Not for the faint of heart.
3 On most fiberglass trailers, the belly band just covers the joint where the top and bottom are glassed together. On the Ventura, the belly band covers the seam but the 2 haves are screwed together with a backing strip of wood. If the belly band does not have a bead of caulking along the top of it, you can get water leaking into the backing wood and rotting it out. I have seen a couple now where the owners have glassed over the seam and either left off the band or put it back on for looks.

I got one last summer...it was soaked inside...and rotten so I gutted the entire thing. Pulled off and sealed the belly band...New floors...wall studs...took the advice from Dudley and added aluminum crossbeams - worked well. Added lights (plus porch light too) and just installed tongue and groove pine ceiling...work in progress but she's coming along!
