At the last minute, we decided to visit an ailing relative who lives in Penticton, so about 1000 km round trip, and we took the
Bigfoot for its last trip before winterizing.
I took it over the
weight scale, mostly to determine the front to rear
axle weight on the TV, noting it was about 800 lbs heavier on the rear
axle. I did have a bit of sway at time on the outbound trip, but upon adding a link to the
weight distributing hitch, it rode better with no pitching. The unit weighted about 6,000 lbs with all tanks empty, including hot water, as I winterized this evening. The unit towed very well, with better fuel economy that my stick built, for about the same weight.
We stopped in Vernon, and were visited by a
Bigfoot employee (factory is about 6 miles away), who indicated ours was about #3 off the line for the new 25FB.
No more trips until next year ...
