$3.50/gallon seems cheap to a Canadian. We pay by the litre, which is about 1 US quart. Right now it's $1.18/litre here, so that's about $4.72/US gallon. Our dollars are pretty much on par right now. We cry too every time we pull up to the pump!

Since we left NH we've spent $960 for gas, covered 6,500 miles and averaged about $3.35 per gallon.

We are at Canyon Lake, TX and gas is $3.29, it's $0.20 a gallon less than our last stop at Somerville, TX.

Based upon these numbers and assuming the price of gas will stay in this ball park we should spend about $4,000 for gas over 11 months.

For perspective if we had stayed home we'd probably would have driven a similar number of miles over 3 months and spent the same amount of money without the joy of being on the road. If we were home working we'd have driven twice this number of miles.

I paid $2.82 yesterday in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Nobody has ever come up with a good explanation why gas is cheaper here than in other places. But who's complaining?

Article on the web yesterday mentioned thet gas should hit $1.40/litre this summer.
That would make an American gal. =$1.40x3.785=$5.29. Now that's a bummer. Will sure cut some holidays short. EH?
PS our Canadian gal is about 1/5 larger.

Where I am in Utah, gas is up to 3.07/gal. The bad news is that I head back to California next week and where I am there, it is over 4.00/gal!

Hi: All...If I stay home I still use gas. I don't know what mileage my Kubota gets but I sure could use a herd of goats!!! LoL p.s. A mans happiness is tempered by the number of internal combustion engines he owns.

Those of us in the Vancouver BC area have seen it over the $5 per US gallon mark a number of times in the past year. Funny enough we supply the US with a big chuck of the gas.... go figure. Suspect it has a good deal to do with the various taxes etc we pay -closer to a city you live the more you pay in Transit tax - I can go 20 miles north and pay as much as 20 cents a liter less....
