We were discussion the build quality of Fiberglass trailers VS others & this article was posted. I was talking about the article stated the employee gets paid how fast they work. So the build quality would not be very good.

HERE IS THE ARTICLE ABOUT SAFETY & DRUG USE.

The problems at Forest River , both safety and production rates have no bearing on the quality of fiberglass trailer’s . Comparing anything to the lowest common denominator is meaningless .

5 Million dollar fine.

I think it’s a good thing. Putting pressure on the worst player in the game raises the bar for the rest. It’s naive to think there has been no corner-cutting among molded fiberglass manufacturers.

I would be very curious to know some of the specific safety violations that got the attention of NHTSA and whether they involve towables, motorhomes, or both.

Sadly, neither investigation addresses the dismal build quality that afflicts RV’s in general. These agencies don’t care whether your toilet leaks or your fridge works.

Love my Scamp, and my ownership experience has been mostly uneventful. Its simplicity- read lack of features- is the biggest reason. I would buy another. But that is not to say there is no room for improvement.

As stated this article talks about the employees get paid by how fast they work, not if it is done correctly. The build quality of the Fiberglass are that much better.
