6.0 Earthquake in N. California Today, 3:20 a.m.

Greetings from Sunny California!

At 3:20 this morning we were awakened by a 6.0 earthquake, the biggest since Loma Prieta in 1989. Our trailer happens to be stored near Napa, where the quake originated. We live about 1 hour away and felt mild shaking compared to the jolt felt northeast of here. I'm waiting to hear from the storage facility manager but I expect the Scamp pulled through with flying colors as it is built to withstand earthquake-like shaking while towing.

Were any of our fellow FGRVers in California during this quake?

Glad you're okay! I hope you get good news about your Scamp soon.

Sadly, some of our fellow RVers lost their homes to fire in the aftermath of the Napa earthquake. After earthquake, fire destroys units at Napa mobile | The Press Democrat

While I am saddened for their losses, and happy to hear that injuries were minimal, I somehow can't equate Mobile Home Park dwellings with anything related to RV's. My ex in-laws lived in a Mobile Home that has been on blocks since 1976. Most are seldom moved after initial placement.
