Gander Mountain sells a liquid called Bass Boat Saver and I'm going to try it as soon as the global warming comes around.

It was highly recommended to me by a boat dealer.

Rob, can you tell us what type of sealant is used in the Lander 401 restoration?

I am curious about the belly seam repair on the Lander 401.

My guess is that the black colored material was applied as a sealer, rather than to provide a structural reinforcement at the seam.

Also, the trim material -- is it an anodized aluminum, or a plastic?

Just curious. Nice looking repair.

Thanks, Rob.

According to the Dow website, this is an automotive urethane intended for windshields, where is forms a gasket and adhesive. This application seems radically different, and I have to wonder if the product is suitable for this purpose.

Rob, do you know if this product is commonly used to seal seams?

I don't know Brian, "Evazan" had used the "Betaseal" for this work because it is suggested by a carriage maker...
The Betaseal is able to stop water... Evazan had used it in order to achieve this aim

ciao
