A friend of mine bought an ocean view 1 bedroom condo (trashed) for 90k 3 years ago when the market tanked. It also had 2 parking spaces. While they were remodeling a pipe burst in the unit above them and flooded the whole thing and they had to start over. The good thing is the expensive stuff hadn't been delivered yet and insurance ended up paying for everything. I wish I had bought .

Steve, you and I are probably alike in that "the other guy" always got lucky and you and I paid for everything!
I'm pretty happy where we in Canada in the mountains on a half acre with a view.
Just a little too white in the winter.

I'm from Spokane and even though I like to kid around a bit about the weather I'd trade it all right now to go home where my family is. Of course Las Vegas isn't San Diego or it might be a different story LOL.

I've been watching the weather in Spokane, Steve- it's warming up fast over there.

Hope to do my annual early spring trip to the Scablands sometime soon!

Supposed to be mid 60's by next week. It only does that so it can get cold and snow again. Weather in eastern Washington just likes to mess with folks.

Hey Steve, we live just outta Creston BC about. 1hr north of Sandpoint ID.
Spokane is alot drier than our valley but I do like the place.
We arnt much for the desert and dont gamble so other than the speedway not too much attraction in Vegas for us. I have 2 brothers who spend alot of time there, one owns a house in Lake Havasu but havent been yet.
This is why we bought the bikes, just like everyone else on this forum space is always a concern. Plus next year I hope to pull our trailer south with my hotrod so most stuff will have to be hauled in the trailer

Well Heck we're practically neighbors. I used to go up to Cranbrook, Trail, Nelson, etc following my Spokane Chiefs.

This is in reference to post 58.
We got Marilyn in to see the typing of Hot in Cleveland and I was standing around waiting for her. Somebody left early and they got me in for about the last half of the show.
The rumors were true! Carol Burnett and Tim Conway made guest appearances!
Being a longtime fan of theirs was great to see them perform.
This episode is to air june 19,, tune in for a giggle!

Fred

Too Cool Fred you made a memory

I'm of the same generation. Loved the Carol Burnett show. Have some episodes saved on VHS and occasionally watch and end up with bruised ribs from laughing. Timeless stuff.

Fred

The three funniest people in America (incl. Betty white) on one show? I'll be tuning in...

Francesca

P.S.

Since you got to breathe the same air they did, can I have a lock of your hair?

Were headed north starting monday next.
Thinking of. The first 2 nights in Pismo beach
And running up to San Simeon on tuesday.
We were there twice last time in 88.
Want to drive up highway 1.
Then, heard about the aquarium at Monteray
Has anybody stayed around there?

If you stay on 1/101 through Oregon stop in Newport. I always stay at the marina. It is right next to the aquarium where "Free Willy" Keiko was kept. It is also next Oregon State Univ marine science museum.

It is very pricey in my thinking approx $40 but it is beautiful and close to everything. I stay there every year for at least 3 days. There are full hookups.

Looks great! 40$ is about average for a quality full hook up rv place.
Weve paid 30-65$ this trip. Starting to think about motels, especially in places like Gilroy Ca. Where a motel 6 is probably about the same money with big beds and a bathtub.
Thanks Steve.
Still looking to hear about anything around Monteray Ca.

My gal looked up Newport Marina on line while we were traveling. She gave me the number and I called. The guy on the other end said " we don't have any RV parking and all of our boat slips are filled up" I told him I stay there every year you must be mistaken. He then informed me he was in Newport Rhode Island. Embarrassing.
