While we were at the race in Fontana on Sunday we checked out a few new tow vehicles. Girls seem to go for convertibles but I convinced her that her hair would get too messed up

CanAm could put an Airstream behind that puppy!

Geez, talking about Airstreams,,,, a forever long one came into the park yesterday from eastern Canada,,, being pulled by a 6 cylinder GM suv.
The owner says the trailer weighs about 7 tons!!! With all the stuff in because
They fulltime in the unit.
I'll try for a pic of the tugntoad tomorrow and throw it up.

Talked to the guy, big hills and big head winds are the only problems.
I would have never believed it!

Wow!

I wonder if that's the Buick Enclave/tri axle Airstream that CanAm Rv talks about having done...

If you caught the fellow's name, was it "Bill"?

I'll ask him.
I did notice the hitch and all the "stuff" around that area looked it weighed as much as my trailer!

His name is Dick not Bill and yes he has seen his unit in the stream forums and seems to get a kick out of it but doesnt seem interested enough to bother posting. Very happy with the hitch and no trouble with the tug.

Thanks for the detective work, Fred!

I'd sure get a kick out of seeing that setup going down the road sometime...

We made it to Pismo!
We left Oceanside 10ish and LA traffic wasn't bad only stopping a few times on the 405 and the 101.
We took 154 from Santa Barbara strait up over the hills, a kind of short cut.
What a beautiful drive away from the bustle of the 101. Was a little cloudy on the ocean side of the hills but clear on the other side and the vistas,,,WOW!
There was now place to stop on the way up but the view was great. If your coming from the north you will come around a corner and POW! Santa barbara and the ocean will just open up. Make sure you put it on your must drive list!
The pics are going down the north side of the range.

There was a little town on 154 just south of the junction with 101. Looked like a good place for the wine tasters in the group. Nice trailer too.

We spent the day at the Hearst Castle today.
If by chance you don' t know about it check it out.
The structures and surrounding beauty are
indescribable.
Tomorrow we are traveling up the coast highway to Monterey.
I guess there is some roadwork, a portion of the highway fell into the ocean somewhere around Big Sur. Could be interesting,,,,,update to follow.

Hey Jared, ya got'em on 'bout everthin I own!

We drove up #1 highway, Pismo to Carmel and in to Gilroy the garlic capitol.
The road was great, only a couple of work areas but very little wait.
The downer FOG, hardly seen the ocean, never even took any pics and was probably the last time by the ocean till next winter when we go south.
The next 3 days we will be sitting on the interstates to get home. We have decided on some more renos to our Boler so I guess it'll be back to
Theres a hole in my Boler my Boler my Boler as soon as we get back!!!
