We got an early start out of Creston BC down to Spokane Wa out to Ritzville and down 395 to tri cities and out 84 to Portland.
We slept in thurs and never made Cresent City then today we only got in about 150 miles so our "good time" is turning into a leisurly cruise!!!
Tomorrow Napa Valley, Pismo beach sunday, a nite in Malibo and run the LA gauntlet tues.

Hey Vic, was a simple fix. But actually being able to have the help of a friend 1700 miles from home was the blessing. Meet this fellow on a forum site because we have old Comets.
The electric fuel transfer pump died, I think. Ididnt check it I just replaced it along with the inline filter and gas cap.
Then we decided to wait till after the rush hour to drive through LA so we took Roy for supper as a thankyou for the help and tools and left Camarillo about 7pm.
About half way down the 405 in the dark all the lights cept the headlights went out!!!
Changed the fuse but there is a short in the trailer some where. Wasn't gonna sit in
In LA so we drove the rest of the way with the right signal light on,,,,,
Got here about 11pm STRESS EXHAUSTED!!

Sounds like, there's nothing like old cars to keep a guy thinking. Send some pics of the site and all the exciting stuff.
I to Ernie Olfert yesterday. We might be dealing on that engine he has.
Anyway keep them coming, have fun.

I have tried several times over different days to upload a picture of our spot at Paradise By The Sea RV Resort and until tonight have always received a error page. We are very much enjoying the weather! On saturday I took our old red car to a show about 20 miles and had a great time.
Many of you wont understand but we have owned this car for 40years and when I was a young man I would sit in the garage in January reading my hot rod mags and dream about cruizin around southern California,,well I are living the dream!!!

Fred, How long are you going to be down south? Car swapmeet in Pomona on Jan 19th at the Pomona Fair grounds and the big three swapmeet in San Diego at Qual Com stadium Feb 21st to the 23rd.
These are big deal old car car and parts swapmeets.

This is a gear heads dont miss if you have never been there before.

As a Kid in high school I had a 1967 Mercury Caliente, a rebadged Mercury Comet. Sold that in 1977 and bought a 1974 Ford Bronco which I still have.

Just noticed this thread. Good to see other old car guys here. I have the '69 Bronco that I bought new sitting in my barn waiting restoration, along with some early 60's Fairlanes. There was another EB owner here some time ago, last post was he was sitting along the road after losing a wheel on his camper. Haven't heard from him since.

Steve; thanks for the picture. My 69 was stock, 302, 3 speed, full top, no rear seat. The replacement body has been sitting in the barn since '77. Too many other projects preventing me from restoring it. I tried the Classic Bronco site some time ago but found some people there rude and insulting, so asked admin to remove me. Had a subscription to Bronco Driver magazine, but it seems more geared toward rock crawling and modification stuff, and I'm more of a restoration guy so didn't renew when it ran out. Here in the Northeast we have severe rust issues to deal with, therefore my decision back in 77 to get a new body for the Bronco, and then about 6 years ago to "import" a '76 pickup from Arizona.

With the MLK holiday Pomona attendance was down about 20% you should see it in the spring before the weather gets hot.
