If there are no large rocks you can always tie your tent to a vehicle. I remember one night in 1997 tying a tent to a car at the Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area in Western Nebraska. (Shortly thereafter being concerned that the car was going to blow away)

Tent hold downs

Just left Quartzite. I agree that the metal nail like spikes driven in with hammer should be fine for holding down your tent. Mine stayed up for 10 days with no problems.

john I have tried driving those nails into trees not good they are called gutter spikes here!!
