Rather than add this to "Was it You??", I decided to start a new topic on this one since it almost 100% was NOT a member of this forum.

Michele and I are visiting our daughter in Germany, and while here we saw an ad for an 8 day Mediterrean cruise for $399 - so we decided to GO!! And while we were on a bus trip to Pisa we had a REAL sighting!!!

As the bus was waiting to make a left turn out of the area of the leaning tower... a car towing an Egg passed us, and the bus turned the same direction. (B-T-W, the OTHER passengers were wondering what this odd-ball American was doing and WHY he was taking pix of that old trailer!!! LOL). I poked Michele as soon as I saw it - I got pretty excited. I figgered it would just pull away and be Gone with the Wind. BUT, the bus slowly gained on it... Nobody else pulled between us, and we closed on it. NOW, had I had a rental car instead of being on a tour bus, you WOULD have had an interview with the owner. Sigh....

Anyway, he slowed and stopped waiting to make a left hand turn (ironically into a Goodyear tire dealer... wonder if he had Marathons on his rig... hahahahaha). As we closed, I reached up into the overhead, GRABBED the camera bag, and started shooting. (which REALLY confused the other passengers - even the tour guide wanted to know WHY? - lol)

Here is what I got - it is a classic Egg. The belly band splits the top / bottom more of a 60/40 than 50/50. Large, square-ish rear window. And, although it does NOT show on the pic, the bottom mold comes to a small "point" underneath the rear window instead of being completely flat.

I apologize that there are not more pix, but it was just happenstance that we saw it all....

I cropped the pix to show JUST the trailer. If anyone wants the FULL uncropped pic, plz PM me and I will send to you.

Alan,

I think its in this family of trailers...

http://album.fiberglassrv.com/main.php?g2_itemId=2520

the triangles above the lights makes it a newer unit than the 401.
