I'm on my first year of being 25.
Ended up with a
Scamp because after a childhood of camping all of the US in tents and popups I knew I wanted to keep that up in adulthood. Started reading the Minnesota craigslist ads for a camper and ran across an older
scamp. Driving a Ford Ranger, I knew the
weight would be perfect and the
fiberglass shell best for my wife and I's furkids (3 pugs).
My wife and I do things the hard/frugal way. Last summer I built a deck on the back of our house (instead of having someone else build it)- and reasoned that the money we saved could go into a used
scamp. Bought a 16ft 1987 Scamp in the
fall and haven't looked back. We're taking some longer trips this summer and can't wait to be able to use the scamp with our future children.
I know it's a good hobby- because you see so many "veterans" still feeling young and enjoying it!
