We just purchased a small Airstream with the floor plan that we wanted all along. Thanks for everyone's help on the fiberglass side search for our first trailer. I apologize if my questions seemed trivial at times.

OK Kids, if this is what meets his needs, then so be it. Lets wish him luck and happy travels.

It was looking enviously at my neighbor's Airstream that made me start looking for a trailer... I have a soft spot for Airstreams because our neighbors on Whidbey had one for many years.

Not at all. That's how you find exactly what you are looking for.

Here's an idea... make a really big mould off of the Airstream, use it to build a fiberglass shell, mount the shell on the Airstream frame and fill it with all of the Airstream's interior! Then you have the desired size and floorplan features, without the million rivets!

Just kidding, of course. Zeb has systematically considered the alternatives, and given us some food for thought in the process. The choice is not one of "ours", but having that choice is important.

Best wishes, Zeb.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Airstream trailers are first class. I love them. Out of my financial range, at least for a new one.

There is always the new paint job, like the second one in this post...
