It looks pretty nice and is quite a bit lighter than the competition!

I know that Chinese made products make some people squirm.
I saw what the Japanese made after WWII... junk.
And then I saw what the Taiwanese made and then the Koreans after them... junk
And the Chinese... junk... then....

Quality is not free. It takes hard work and time. A global market dictates global success... for all... eventually.

Here's something to look at. A new briggs and Stratton.
http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/sto...73666_200373666

Even better, Less $$ and includes free shipping.
http://www.amazon.com/Briggs-Stratton-Port...r/dp/B000E3UF1C

Only problem I C is there is no DB levels.

Here is what I found out on the Briggs and Stratton web site:

Question
What is the decibel level of my portable generator?

Answer
We offer no decibel level ratings. This is due to the fact that there is no industry standard on how portable generators should be rated.

So if there is no industry standard then where does that leave us concerning the levels posted with
the other generators?

The industry standards might have something to do with their legal departments. I found out researching snowblowers this past winter that is why most manufacturers have dropped the HP ratings in favour of torque ratings. I think someone tried a class action suit for the numbers being off. Something to do with whatever might be installed on an engine and at what RPM's it was running at. I can see similar issues with the dB ratings. How they were measured e.g. distance etc.
