These are some of the car related events I've travelled to in the past and/or plan to in the future - was just wondering if there were any other glass trailer enthusiasts who were going as well.

Barrie Automotive Flea Market
Bothwell Antique Car Show
Wambo Antique Car and Boat Show (Wallaceburg, Ontario)
Woodward Dream Cruise (Detroit, Michigan)
Kruse Antique Car Auction (Auburn, Indiana - 5,000 cars!)
Nascar Race (I think its in Pontiac, Michigan)

Feel free to add to the list or tell us what you're going to - if there is enough interest perhaps we could arrange a convoy or group camping.

We have always gone to the Mid-America Motorworks VW Festival in Effingham, IL. This is the first weekend in June each year. (We have 2 old VWs and 2 newer models) We've also gone to the MOFOCO Foreign Wars Car Event in Union Grove, WI in late July or early August. Lots of VWs there, too. That's it for us.

I usually attend Graffiti Weekend in Roseburg, Oregon... it almost rivals Hot August Night's in Reno. So big, it takes two towns to hold all the cars. 1965 and newer go to Winston to cruise, 1964 and older stay in Roseburg. Every tiny hamburger joint in town has something going on... the event lasts for nearly a week! But, it's come and gone for the year. Yep, usually the Scamp is there... because afterwards I head to Bandon for the Oregon Gathering

The other "must do" is the Unfinished Nationals in Elma, Washington. (when is a hot rod ever finished?) This year it's going to be the third weekend in August (usually over Labor Day), a bunch of Canadians come down in their Bolers and Trilliums pulled by HOT RODS! Me and the Scamp will be there... again, but no truck, it' still STUCK in the body shop

and on, and on, and on....

...........Phil, obviously out here on the best coast our events are different than yours, but our rod related campout weeks abound out here. Donna's 'Grafitti Weekend' is one we have yet to partake of but other members of an American C.C. we belong to (J.J.'s Cruisers - Sedro Woolley WA.) have attended many times. Ourselves, we have attended 5 weekend campouts thus far this year and this coming weekend finds us at (J.J.'s) Summer Safari -Do Not Post Email Addresses- Howard Miller Steelhead State park in N.W. Washington. Coming up is the Deming (WA.) Forth Corner Elites, 'Summer Fun Run' held the weekend after the Vintage Trailer Meet in Deming WA. at the Deming Log Show grounds.

Come to Minnesota June 19,20,21 2009 for the Minnesota Street Rod Association Back to the Fifties Car show. We had 11,712 cars 1964 and older at the show in 2008. One of the BEST car shows around. Check out the web page. http://www.msra.com/

...........aahhh yes, Back To The Fifties!!
One of my lady rodder buddys from Winterpeg (Hot Rod Liz) attends there almost every year! The reason why I mention this is that her car, a model T is fiberglass and she tows a color matched fiberglass (Mullins style) trailer, also goes by the Manitoba vanity plate "No Date" for gosh sakes!!!!!

...well we missed a Glass Egg meet and a rod run back there lately, but I am a native 'Pegger but the thought of driving across the flats with one of my rods and a trailer gives me the heebee geebies! I can do it in a daily driver but have many concerns about venturing across the 'Badlands of Canucksville' towing anything???

What did you have in mind ('he' asks with a sheepish grin on his face, LOL!!!)....???

Saturday we are headed to Misssion Raceway Park (about 4 miles from here) for Langley Loafers Old Time Drags. This year is also a celeberation of 40 years of rodding for the club. There is a park n sit right beside the track as we watch the ground pounders AND hot-rods 'doin' it' !!!!!
"Guess Who" (s) got V.I.P. passes for the meet????

Hey J.J.

Here is a pic of us at the 2006 River Run....it's one of the most fun events of the year. We've been going for about 4 years now. If you make it this year, look us up, we'll have the red '54 up in Mutton Heights. We won't have the boler this year, we're staying a few extra days so we're taking the moho.

There are a number of classic car shows and auctions in and around Phoenix each January.

One of them is the Barret-Jackson. The size and popularity of this event has become enormous. (B-J has now added Las Vegas and Palm Beach FL.)

Another is Russo and Steele. They have events in both Phoenix and Monterey CA.

There are also the R&M Auctions and EBay/Kruse International.

All offer cream of the crop classics, including celebrity vehicles. Bring a BIG checkbook or credit card with you if you intend to purchase. Otherwise, you can just browse for the cost of entry.

As for camping around the Phoenix area that time of year, it's usually very crowded. Make reservations, if possible. (AZ State Parks don't take reservations.)

Haven't been to the 'un-nats' since they moved it further west from Graham.
It seems a little harder to get to from up here in igloo county, LOL!!

Ed, we gotta talk! That crazy F-100 bunch are friends of mine and I'll be at the Unfinished too. Look for my Scamp in the campground starting on Thursday. On Saturday, I spent hours sitting in a lawn chair right across from your truck and DIDN'T know it was you!

Here's another shot of your truck in the background
