I finally managed to get inside one of the Armadillo trailers at the BC Interior RV show this weekend - whooooa, are they ever beautiful. And made locally. And the guys are super nice & not crooks at all. New dream trailer right there!

Out of curiosity, any idea on the price? I just picked up a scamp 13 so i'm not switching anytime soon, but i do appreciate the new ideas in the armadillo, i like that they squeezed in a larger refrigerator and did a counter sunk stove.

This is all CAD -
Entry level - $24k, doesn't have a propane system
Mid level - $29,500
Fully loaded - $33k
So not cheap, but after spending time looking them over I'm opening a high interest savings account immediately & buying a lotto ticket!

Did you manage to take any photos? You know what they say - if there aren't photos it didn't happen.

The link opened whiz bang for me? Could do without the music going on in the background.
Nice looking trailers, for sure.

In all their 17 picture slideshow nothing was shown of the interior opposite the dinette. Bathroom or no bathroom?

Nope, no bathroom in any of the models. I know a few would want one in a 13' trailer, but most wouldn't. I would rather have the room for other things.

our 13f
jim I see no way to either have a b/r or want one in our 13f scamper. it gets crazy in there with the 2 of us I have added a portapottie finally and it seems to work a shower on top of that. No way!!
we travel lean and mean but we need our tiny closet for important things!

There must be a couple of different slideshows. The one I watched had about 40-45 pictures, one of which was a photo of their literature showing a Thetford portapotty stored under a short bench. IMHO a good solution for a small space.

You can choose to have a portapotty which lives in one of the cupboards If you look at their facebook page it's a bit easier to go through the photos! Their strength is definitely trailer building rather than web design
Sadly I was too busy pretending the trailer was mine to remember to take any photos!

get in the game
kat my opinion get in the game as soon as you can swing with whatever you can afford. just about anything you buy you can even up on when you sell it. you cant do this with a stick built if it stays together.
our rig cost 5k we can cash out anytime we have paid no financing so we do not have that expense we don't have depreciation since our rig is a 95!
our insurance is 100 a year our tags are 13.00 a year!
there are more than one way to skin a cat!
go to it and good luck

A high interest savings account sounds apropos in light of your high interest in buying an Armadillo!
