We made it back from Backus a little while ago. We got our
Scamp and really enjoyed traveling with it. The country is beautiful and we will be back to see it at a more leisurely pace. We really want to do the circle route around Lake Superior. There are a couple of minor problems that we discovered after we crossed into Canada. The florescent
light over the sink would occasionally turn its self into a strobe after it was turned off. It looks like a faulty switch which I can replace. The other problem is with the cupboard and closet door catches, couple were missing, one fell off and several were loose. These days if those were my worst complaints I should probably shut up. Learned a bit about what to take and what not.
Now I am off to Newfoundland. This is something I have been looking forward to for a long time. It is a long trip some 5000 km (3000 mi) and 2 ferry rides return. Any info, hints, places to see, there or on the way, would be appreciated. I have done some research for the trip but I am sure there are some off the beaten track gems that would be worth a side trip that are unknown to me.
Will post some pictures when I get back, and I did get the a picture of our
Scamp under the
Scamp on the pole.
Cheers
Sandy
