After 6 years in the oil fields of Eastern Montana, North Dakota, we are back in Northeast Iowa. The
Scamp came in handy as a
Uhaul with the following loads being brought back with the Man-Camper. Still have not got everything back but plans are for a friend to rent to needs a few things until we can sell. Two houses, two of everything. Yeah, two of everything right down to snowblowers. Goodwill has gotten somethings that have been hibernating in the attic the last few years and now that we have a granddaughter we have some toys to give her.
Camping in Eastern Montana was a little different. We had a nice state park an hour away in Glendive and Teddy Roosevelt two hours away. Madora was full most of the time unless you got there early. I learned from a co-worker who had worked for the Forest Service of a really cheap county park nearby. Otherwise, the major National Parks were a trip not to mention the mountains. We were in the Northern Badlands.
The
Scamp held it's share of stuff. People probably thought we were going camping with bikes strapped on the back. Not unusual out there for Elk hunters to pull campers but we were going the wrong way. Anyway, good to be back in Iowa!
