Back to the world of egg trailers

After a summer of searching, I managed to find a Scamp 19’ Deluxe, available for purchase, and only 120 miles from home. I am excited to do a bit of Fall camping before it is time to winterize. After, I have the trailer in our names, I will be canceling the order for thee 2023.

Welcome back! I believe it’s full circle- didn’t you own a Scamp 19 before? Always nice to find exactly what you’re looking for, and so close to home. Enjoy your fall travels. My favorite time of year.

Yes, we had a 1999 Std 19' Scamp. In 2019 we traded It for an 19’ Airstream Flying Cloud. The wind caught the trailer as we were traveling to the Black Hills and rolled us. The truck and trailer were totaled. I was always more comfortable towing with the tongue in the bed of the truck, so we decided to go back to Scamp. It was a bummer to learn that the lead time for a new 5er was almost two years, so I placed an order, and began searching for a used Deluxe.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with buying a well kept used trailer and saving some money in the process. Who knows what 2023 will bring us, might as well get started now. Best of luck making your new to you trailer the way you want it.
