You wouldn't think we would be having any trouble from this storm, but we are under a high wind advisory in the Chicago area due to very strong northwest winds forecast to come off the edge of the hurricane. They are talking about sustained winds around 25 mph and gusts between 40 and 60 mph. This means I had to move our
UHaul VT and my wife's VW New Beetle convertible to the parking lot at our high school so that we don't have to worry about falling branches out of our old silver maple tree. In the past 5 years, we have had at least major limb
fall each year, taking out my wife's previous New Beetle, part of my neighbor's fence, our power and cable lines twice, and just missing everything once. My Business Manager was kidding me this afternoon after he saw the trailer in the parking lot, wondering if Cindy had finally kicked me out! He said he would know for sure when he saw the orange power cord across the lot and the water hose to the nearby concession stand.
