Minimum freezing in CB so it stays on Egg and when power goes out there will be lights to pack up and go!

After freezing a fully charged battery last year, definitely out
(it was below -40 for 10 days)

It does get cold here, but not cold, cold. Single digits maybe, but I don't recall it going below zero. According to an RV service person, they were told by a battery rep that a fully charged battery would not freeze (bet he wasn't from where you live, Joe!). If I still lived where it got cold, cold I'd probably remove it, but not here, though.

I never took the battery out of my vehicles when I lived in Wyoming, but I did plug my vehicles in at night. My battery never froze, but my truck gears did once.

I think there ought to be a law against -40.

I was thinking that it might be metric degrees and not that cold, but -40C equals -40F! Go figure. Either way, cold enough to...

According to the searches that I`ve done ...a fully charged battery, with a specific gravity of 1.265, is good for about -72 degrees farenheit without freezing so should be good for where I live and the temps go lower than -40 at times...no problem.... ...Benny
