Been gone a while-stroke

I had a stroke on the evening of Dec. 27th, with a brain clot and and bleeding on the brain. Lost use of hands, feet, legs and arms until a few weeks ago. Just now released for home care rehab today. It will be awhile until I can drive and tow the trailer. Looking foward to next years rallys. Mike Taylor

What a bummer! Been there - done that- don't want to do it again!!!!!
I had one back in '03. Took a while to learn to walk and talk again. Exercise well and take lots of walks. I used one of those squeeze balls to help co-orindinate the hands and fingers. Read or do puzzles to help your concentration. It does take time but if you work at it things do get better. My Doc now says that there's no scarring or residual effects from my stroke. All has gone. [ my friends have always said otherwise]
Take care and keep in touch.

Sorry to hear about your stoke, get better soon. Try some card games to help the mind get back on track.

Hi: Mike Taylor... My wife is just gathering up her teams collections from this years Heart and Stroke campaign. She has been our area Captain for years. Please give generously to this worthwhile cause!!!
There's two types of stroke victims. Those that fight, and those that don't!!! Keep up the good fight.
