Big Rig Interiors

As we travel we see many "big rigs" on the road delivering goods hither and thither. Almost all of these "18 Wheelers" appear to be lovingly cared for with shiny chrome and mirror shines. I have often wondered what the interior of these working homes look like, knowing that the drivers often live in them for the duration of their long hauls. Have you wondered the same?

A quick "images" search of "Big Rig Cabin Interiors" on Google produced an amazing array of photos of, not only the sleeping quarters, but also the driver's cab. WOW! Talk about custom luxury in a small space. Most of the trucks put my little Scamp to shame!

For a less sterile and more personalized look at real working drivers and their rigs check this out... https://www.vice.com/sv/article/xd77...e-truckers-001.

The first pics are definitely show trucks. These are more like the trucks that come through our distribution center.

big rigs

Ever climb up into one of those big-rigs? I have and they are fantastic I am glad those drivers can have it good!

Saying that I wouldn't team drive for all the money in the world. I have seen friends turn into deadly enemies over this!

I am not surprised that many team up with a canine crew. They can't take over driving, but will not talk back, as long as they are fed and taken for walks.

I worked for a WW transportation company for more than 30 years. Our truckload division were all team drivers and they were away from home, on an average, of six weeks at a time. The trucks and drivers were contracted and Gilda you're right. The cab of the trucks and the "cabins" were often wonderful. And why not when it's essentially your "home."
