I just read a post elsewhere that said that Big Foot Industries went out of business, has anyone heard anything about that? I always liked them but the price tag was way over our heads but now if they are an "orphan", the price should drop since support/parts will stop being available. It is sad though that if you make a good solid product these days that you can't compete with the "throw-away" brands - missing the good old days! Cathy

Yes Cathy Bigfoot, as we knew it, is out of business. We heard about it on FiberglassRV last November. Here's the original topic, if you'd like to read it: Bigfoot closing?

Oliver Trailers is the latest to stop production. The difference is they're not in bankruptcy however, just waiting for the economy to turn around. They're expecting to be back into production January 2010.

All of Bigfoots assets have long been liquidated to. Didn't some one buy Bigfoots molds? Maybe they will be reborn. From what I read droves of manufactureres are done also, Road Runner (Sun Valley) was one I read about today. One way you find out, search for their home page and if it comes up blank, they are probably shut down.

Yeah, there are some great deals out there on the Bigfoots. I know that there is an RV dealership in Casper,WY that is trying to liquidate their big inventory of Bigfoots. I still want to buy a Bigfoot trailer even if they are closed. The quality is still there even if the company isn't.
