Welcome Bill. I just bought a new 2014 in Oct. Did not use it much yet, but did tow it back from Backus to SE, PA. about 1300 miles. No issues yet. Will set out for a trip south in a few months. First ever trailer, we are retired and no special dates or time or place is in our schedule. Reason i bought the Scamp is for all the reasons you stated. Hope to chat with you some more in the future. Carl
