Blue Ridge Parkway

My wife wants to drive the Parkway this spring when the most things are in bloom. Any advice on when the best time might be? Thanks

A really good source for travel info. and local events on the BRP can be found in the Blue Ridge Country Magazine. They also have a website. The timing of the blooms is like the changing of the leaf colors in the fall, it depends on elevation. I would contact the parks directly.

Eddie gives Good Advice. I also live at the foot of the Blue Ridge and I like to go hunting for wild flowers in May around the first week in higher elevations. If you come down our way, may be a good time for those members living in the area to meet on a weekend camp trip. Just a thought, could be fun.
