Having formerly owned a 1976 13' Scamp
we appreciated the fewer seams, i.e., fewer areas to leak than conventional travel trailer and motorhomes.
Well, we found a 1983 Brougham 23' motorhome on an E-350 chassis.
The RV was owned by a mechanic, so the 460 V8 is in pretty good shape given it's age and low mileage as is the chassis. The body of the motorhome is molded fiberglass with three sections, the front section over the cab to just behind the front seats, a center section and the back, resulting in only two seams.
The RV has a living/dining/kitchen, a bedroom(a bit like the 1976 Scamp) and full bathroom. It has a range with oven, good size refrigerator
, double small sinks, large AC and microwave
. Amazingly everything works except the power converter won't charge the battery
. It even has an Onan generator
. Quite the luxury ride!
Does anyone on the forum or another forum have more information on these? Looking for manuals, advice, etc.
