I went to the Scamp site to order new door hinge kits, not a bad price and I need them.... the shipping PRICE!! The shipping would cost more than the parts. Does anyone have an "inside" with Scamp or know of other ways to get their parts? Might be time to see if I can find an rv graveyard around here.

When I ordered parts from Scamp awhile back I waited until I had a good list and the shipping seemed fairly reasonable for a bigger order. I would imagine on a small order it will seem high.

IMHO it does seem a bit ridiculous for these small parts. Especially since you'll only use the brass ball and spring. You'll want to change the mild-steel bolt and nut to stainless steel. Even though he's in Canada, have you checked with Paul Neumeister?

Hi: Donna et al... I bought a set of S/S hinge repair kits from Paul. $20. ea. Knowing Scamps price even with the diff. in metalurgy I thought expensive... but it is a specialized niche mkt.
I am building up a list of Scamparts to order, for my project Boler, when it warms up here
