Carpet on the walls

Are the UHaul CT and VT the only fiberglass campers without carpet on the walls?

Oliver, Escape, Trillium, Boler. Lil Snoozy, Hunter Compact, and many others don't have carpet on walls. The list of carpeted wall FG trailers is short.

Single wall trailers tend to have some type of wall covering/insulation. Carpet is just one of them.

You have to put something on the inside of single hull trailers to cover the rough interior surface. (In the molding process, only one side- the side that faces the mold- is smooth and shiny.) Common lining materials include marine headliner, vinyl covered foam, quilted vinyl, paneling, and yes, carpet.

In many cases “carpet” is a bit misleading. The product used by Scamp, Armadillo, Weiscraft, and others is actually a marine headliner. Unlike floor carpet it has no backing, making it light and slightly stretchy, ideal for lining a curved surface. To my knowledge, the only manufacturer that puts actual floor carpet on the walls and ceiling Is Casita.

But you may be thinking of double hull designs like U-Haul, in which the interior is formed of separately molded pieces of smooth fiberglass gelcoat. That list is shorter: U-Haul, Burro, EggCamper, Oliver, Happier Camper, and Parkliner (the short-lived 16’er). .

The Burro and UHaul did use carpet around 2 feet wide running the entire length of the ceiling and front and back wall so not an entirely double hulled trailer

Thanks for all the inputs and clarifications! We do have a UHaul CT13 but we are considering looking for something similar to a VT16.
We do not want “carpet” on the walls and we are looking for one with the wet bathroom. It also needs to sleep 4.
The Parkliner is interesting only if it is the double wall version.
Is the longer Burro as rare as the VT16?

4 as in 4 adults? or 2 adults and 2 small children? or what?

a 16 like a casita spirit deluxe, the 'box' is only about 13 feet long, the main bed takes the back 5 feet and the wet bath takes the front 3-4 feet, leaving only about 5-6 feet in the middle for the dinette on one side and the kitchen on the other. you would need to forgo the dinette and instead have dual bunk beds to sleep 4, and revert the main bed to a dinette each day if you want to sit and eat.

My observation would indicate that the outer shells were sealed together first with resin then the inner shells resined to the outer shells leaving room to work which on the CT was about 2 feet and about a foot on the VT. The space was then covered with woven fiberglass matt and resin. So technically it is double haul and in some places triple.

We really liked the wall / ceiling covering Casita uses especially when camping in cold weather .The vinyl liners some trailer manufacturers use always looked like the interior on a cheap foreign car to me ,plus in a few years it is full of creases , puckers and is discolored/ faded

the vinyl liner Escape uses reminds me of an aircraft cabin.

FG trailers w/o "carpet" on walls

We have a Hymer Touring GT. The walls are lined with vinyl upholstery over fiberglass insulation; in the kitchen area the small wall area is lined with polished aluminum. It resembles an airplane, or a boat, somewhat.
