Casita forum???

Can anyone shed any light on the older Casita site? one day it works nextday no luck. My server says site is down. I have tried to get a number multiple times no response. Any ideas?:bh

No, not really. These sites can and do go down on occasion for various reasons. Usually, it is only for a short time. Perhaps Eric, the webmaster, is out of town and is unaware that it is having problems.

He'll be back and get it fixed. Not to worry.

I contacted Eric last week and brought it to his attention that the sie was down. He replied that he was shrinking the data base to get it going again, and he did get it going for a few hours and it went down again.

I contacted him again and he worked on the site again. His last reply said that he thinks the server may be toast. Soooo it may be awhile before its up and running again.:sad

Meanwhile we have 2 other forums to play on :banana

Although most of these webguys make it look easy, it takes a lot to keep these sites going. That's why our webguy is constantly looking and working on ways to improve our site and keep up with the ever-increasing demands (which is a good thing ;) )

For now....

Eric is on the job tonight and tomorrow make repairs. but the server may be the culprit and need hands on work on location.

Eric lives in L.A. and the server is in the S.F. bay area 450 miles away.

He also mentioned that those who were using the classifieds as a forum may have caused this 'blip'.

He apologizes for the site being down and asks that you all hang in there.:wave

If I had a buck for every time I've heard that site was down....*whew*

Don't get me wrong....Eric has done a great job, and for a long time...but that software he uses is brutal.

This is a good time to remind everyone to punch that ''Donations'' button at the bottom of this page and forward a buck or two to this website to help keep it going. (More is always welcome too, if you feel the urge. Whatever you can handle.)

Same for Eric's web site (casitaclub) if you play there. These things don't run on love alone, although both Michael and Eric put everything they can into keeping our playgrounds full.

Remember, we don't have to put up with pop-ups like Yahoo users do, nor any advertising. Even PBS now has advertising, but we don't!
