I owned a 16ft Casita 2000 the workmanship on this unit was very good. I later sold this unit and bought a Scamp 5th wheel -big mistake poor workmanship on the silverware drawer and the openings for the cabinets rough edges. The fifth wheel had a bunk up front but the stepup to it was much too high for older people. I think the 5th wheel delux has steps up to the bed but with the wood inside the trailer weighs much more and the cost is much more. I liked the white interior better for it was much lighter inside.

Hi,

After reading the previous thread I want to correct a couple of things...yep, we have a 3 way fridge and the floor of a Casita is on the bottom outside fiberglass, then plywood and then fiberglass again (so the plywood is incased in fiberglass both inside and out) then a rug or in our case we opted for vinyl flooring...so when we have a spill our feet get wet and we wipe it up!:-). All these trailers are great...you can't loose!

(Did the Escape bathroom get enlarged in the newer models?)(FIfth wheel?)

Rand:-)

More inline with the front bath Scamp and the Casita. Big enough to hang a shower curtain and turn the wet bath into a shower stall with plenty of room. I'll see if Ian and Paddy can take some pics of the bathroom and give us some measurements

I sent Ian and Paddy a message requesting bathroom dimensions, true to form they answered back quickly:

The dimensions of the 5.0 bathroom are 27" from door to outer wall, 45
1/2 front to back and 74" high. It comes with an electric exhaust fan
as standard equipment. We have not yet showered in it, but a dry run
indicates ample room for anyone up to about 6'1".

The sink is small, but for Paddy and myself it has removed the crowding
at the kitchen sink we had in Rubea I.

I have installed a number of hooks to hang wet swimsuits and towels on.

Escape Trailers at www.escapetrailer.com has now posted a set of photos
and specifications on it's web page.

Hope this answers your questions.

Happy Trails,

Ian, Paddy, Gypsy and Rubea II
