They say no campfire wood including lumber off cuts are allowed.

So check with your campsite before bringing kiln-dried firewood or lumber so you know you'll be allowed to use it.
Could be hard for them to know if the wood was kiln dried or not.

firewood

Take my small chain saw and hatchet(in a plastic tote) and ask the federal park I'm in where I can cut downed trees. I take as much as I need.

Not allowed to cut dead wood or downed trees in B.C. Parks.

That would actually not be legal to transport, but yeah nobody will probably make a point if it. It has to have a certification to be transported. Yeah the loads that places like Lowes get it with a certification for each full pallet. They are really going at trying to slow the ash bore.

But yeah these bundles should be legal to transport if they say so.

As someone said here better just to get it local. Generally cheaper and then you don't have to transport it. And many camp grounds say only wood from their sources. It may be legal to transport it to these camp grounds, but may not be legal or allowed to use it in their camp grounds.

Send a message via Yahoo to Darwin Maring
Just buy your wood where you camp if you have to have a fire.

Firewood

I always try to buy firewood near the campground when we travel out of state.
Some of the bundles have papers on them identifying the origin.

It's interesting that I have purchased firewood in Florida that is labeled as coming from Oklahoma, Texas and Alabama.

I'm not sure if there are legal regulations on transporting firewood or just suggestions.

We always carry the propane "The Little Red Firepit" when headed to New Mexico and Colorado with the burn bans.
