Michele, which one did you use, the Coleman? On mine, you don't have to hold anything for warm water... just turn it to the temperature you want and it keeps flowing. The only thing you have to hold is the HOT position, but that is far too hot for showers (about 150 degrees!).
What would be nice would be an on/off switch at the shower head. If you take a Navy-style shower (get wet, turn water off, soap up, then rinse), you have to reach out of your shower tent to turn the dial off, then back on again when you are ready to rinse. Not a deal-breaker, though.
Dave, I looked hard at the Zodi shower, but there were a couple of things that didn't work for me. 1) It needs to be easy enough for my wife to use, or I don't get to bring it. 2) The single burner Zodi only gets so hot without recirculating the water and the two-burner one is too expensive (in my opinion). 3) The Coleman has the nice flip-out spigot, which makes it easy to do hands-free washing and rinsing (Zodi does have an add-on stand, which would accomplish the same thing), and 4) I think the Coleman is in a nicer package. Just about everything is onboard, including both the 12v and 120v charging cords. The
battery is inside the unit. There is very little "setup." And the auto igniter is a plus, too.
I'm not bad-mouthing the Zodi... it is a hundred bucks cheaper than the Coleman, which is quite a chunk of change. Like I said, I looked real hard at the Zodi, but I knew the wife wouldn't like it, and that is the number one concern when it comes to these kinds of purchases!
