4th question down, looks like its 230 volts so it could require a thingy to reduce the voltage

A "thingy" being a step-up transformer, to increase the voltage.. yes, unless your campsite has 50A power. If the site is properly wired for 50A you have 240V across the two hot lines... with a wiring adapter, you would just plug in.

See the "Power" section near the bottom of the FAQ.

Of course, it would be much more convenient if someone just made and sold a North American version, for 120V power.

Maybe well be designed for 50 Hz. Not sure if that matters to an AC compressor.

Excellent point. Because the supplier mentioned only a step-up transformer, I accepted that and didn't even think about frequency.

The frequency will matter if it is an induction motor, and not so much if it is a universal motor. They talk about electronic soft-start, so it may use a variable-frequency drive or DC motor, and in either case the input frequency might not matter. The specs don't mention frequency.

That little thing is so kool. Here is one just a bit bigger and has a handle on it to carry around. It is still a mini split system but smaller. About 65 pound and 7000 BTU. But once again 220 volt. Like to keep a eye out when they go 110 volt. But looks kool to check out.

That totally depends on the compressor and fan motors. We shipped 2 environmental chambers to the UK a couple years ago. They were used in the production of a product. Because of the 50Hz vs 60Hz one of the fan motors had to replaced. The other chamber still wasn't working after 1.5 years of them fussing with it.
