Core of Engineers Guide Book

So this is probably gonna be a really stupid and obvious question but...What does it mean when a CG listed in the books has the letters MB beside the the name. Example, the first CG listed for the state of GA is "Allatoona Lake (M. The legend lists all the icons but not the initials. Alabama has the same thing, "Claiborne Lake (M. What does LO mean next to Barren River Lake in Kentucky??? I tried Google for Core of Engineers Abbreviations with no luck.

Thanks for any help even if just guesses lol.

They may list services -- M marina, B boat launch, C camping, etc. Just an idea. You might find information by putting in the name on the CoE website.

Hmmm, but only some of the campgrounds have letters and they all have the icon symbols for what facilities they have. I will try the website, thanks!! Will report back if I solve the mystery lol.

Registry
Allatoona Lake is in the Mobile District - MB.

Barren River Lake appears to be in the Louisville District - LO.

So maybe these are District codes - ?

Wink COE book??

I have the 2019 editiion: "RV Camping in Corps of Engineers Parks", and I can find no place IN that book where it gives the description of amenities at CGs in 2 letter abbreviations. Sorry. It lists amenities and marks them on lists tho for 644 Campgrounds in the COE system. Good book to have IMHO

So does your book have letter designators beside some of the campground names in the book?
