Darn Clouds! Hid Shuttle Launch

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, the clouds blocked our view of Space Shuttle Discovery's final launch! Hmph
My 14 y/o has seen several but I want my 8 y/o to remember a live shuttle launch. We have one more opportunity in April b/c for the final launch in late June early July we'll be in WY.

Yeah!!! I know!! I was just out at TPA on the upper level of the Short Term Parking to watch the launch.

We just got to see a glimpse between the clouds, after it had risen above the haze. Not even enough to get a photo!

Those live shuttle launches are unbelievable! I was lucky enough to catch one from Satellite Beach back in 2003. Unfortunately, that particular Columbia launch ended on a very sad note.

I saw one launch once when I lived in Clearwater, it was from the other side of the state but you cant miss that much smoke.

Usually, we can see the contrail in eastern Piinellas county, but it was very faint. A lot of haze in the sky.
Better luck next launch! With so little time left, I'm sure you'd like to make sure your child sees the historic event, as we have for decades.
