Demand for trailers is astounding!

A few days ago I was riding my bike at a nearby lake and was passed by a truck pulling a small, 13' Scamp. I have a Casita (17 Deluxe), but want to sell it because we've ordered a new Escape 19 for delivery next May.

I thought it'd be fun to say hi to the Scamp owner so I found him while riding my bike in the lake campgrounds. We talked a little bit and I told me I had ordered a new Escape. He asked about my Casita. He thought he might be interested in upgrading and we exchanged phone numbers. His Scamp, and my Casita are about the same age (late 1990's vintage).

Bottom line, he stopped at my house today and bought the Casita. He told me that after talking to me and expressing interest in the Casita, three different people in his group wanted to buy his Scamp!

It really is incredible.

Met someone in a WY CG with a new Scamp 13. He told of a friend who bought 2000 or so model for $6,000 early this year and flipped it in April for $18K!

Hmmm I have a 2015 Scamp 16 with nice upgrades in great shape. This year I have done maintenance but not camped in it (so far) because of Covid. Anyone willing to give me $29,500 for it?

I listed my 1988 Scamp 13 deluxe for $7500 a couple months ago and it literally sold in 5 minutes. People were calling from all over and some were pretty frantic. It was crazy. If you want to sell now is the time to do it as people are experiencing cabin fever and want to get out to the wilderness.
Previously Owned: Trillium 4500, Scamp 19', Bigfoot 17', Boler 17', Bonair Oxygen, Hymer Touring GT, Scamp 13 Deluxe, Casita 16.

I just talked with a friend in Oregon thatís been looking at fiberglass trailers for a couple of years. She said that the prices have gone up so much she canít justify buying one now. Wow!

I've been working on my 1979 Boler 13 footer in the driveway this past week. I had 3 people ask if I were selling it.

Same here!

Not more than 1/2 hour ago we found a note on our mailbox saying “I want to buy your camper. Call me.” No! No! Never! (but *maybe* for the right price? hahaha)

I love my 2018 Scamp 13’ but may have to sell it as I joined the Peace Corps. $17k It’s in Austin Tx right now and I’d keep it over the holidays.

I sold my ‘03 Casita 17SD in four hours for more that I paid for it eight years ago. Probably should have asked more but didn’t want to be greedy.

I read in one of the Scamp FB groups that Scamp is running 16-22 months out, depending on model. Some are undoubtedly pandemic-related impulse purchases, and I’d expect some cancellations as normalcy slo-o-o-wly returns.

But still... January 2022??!!

You can have mine today... for $20K cash.

Oh wait... my daughter would never forgive me if I sold it!

Not just in the US, same situation in Australia. Caravan demand is enormous as people cannot fly out of Australia or even move to some states
