Hi Pat, Everything of value in the back is secured with cable locks and is reasonably weatherproof. With the cooler and genset aboard I have to be careful with really sharp turns (OK up to maybe 80* left or right). Without them, I can fully jack knife things with no clearance problems; the camper nose clears the tool box with a couple of inches to spare.
I had two Tacoma's (05 and 12) prior to the Colorado and put around 175K on each with no major problems. So far (35K), we prefer the Chevy as it has much more power and gets significantly better mileage. The Tacoma's were better for interior storage and I miss the inverter but the Colorado wins in all other categories. I did need to replace the Scamp's
axle with a hi lift version but it was due in any case.
