A little cold (+4) but I was camping Wednesday night. I'm Going to have to put a marine wood stove in my Egg if I continue to camp when it is this cold.
I'm looking at this one.

Kirkman, I love this idea but I can't figure out where you'd install this is a FGRV? We have a 16' Scamp and the only option I can think of is to remove the from couch and mount in the front window. Even then, the clearance requirements of 20" from the front/sides means location and heat output could be very problematic. What about you?

We're working on renovating our Scamp and dreaming of running away as soon as the weather breaks here in Kentucky. This is going to be sooo much fun.

If you use it with the shield he sells you don't need any clearance

I'm usually pretty excited about camping this time of year as we go to California for a couple months in the winter,,, but as most Canadians know our dollar is pretty bad against the US $ so. We'll be exploring beautiful BC with our boler as much as possible in '16,

Dying to get out camping! We sat down in the fall and decided where we wanted go this spring/summer/fall, but in the past week, kids activities have changed all of our plans (we have a lacrosse player who just made a national team) and so I've been spending this week looking at new adventures and getting reservations and marking dates for future reservations. It snowed yesterday (and today) so I went over to our Iggy to see if I needed to clear the roof and ended up just sitting inside for awhile, dreaming. I cannot WAIT to get out again!

There is this famous quotation: "Plans are worthless, planning is everything."
And you have such a good reason to change! Keep planning.

Not that I relish our campgrounds getting anymore crowded, but our tourism board says we residents are supposed to be encouraging Yankees (and Canadians too I suppose) to come down with their money to Florida. We actually just got back from a week of camping in a Florida SP and although it rained pretty good as couple of days (I felt sorry for the tenters) we had a great time.

Hazel, I get that feeling ever time I look out our dining room window as our Casita is in the back yard saying "Lets Go Already".

Its either that or its saying "get this damn snow off of me already!"

Somehow I think camping in Meadow Lake SK would be pretty cold this time of year!

Thank you Floyd for the cute videos. I love the "Moving Right Along" one. True- getting there is half the fun!

Here in the Buffalo area were supposed to get socked come Sunday. Kinda makes me glad that Shrimp Scampi is in storage now. Made me sad to look at her in my backyard with all that snow atop her roof.

All winter I buy little toys for her (me). Just got new brake controller and charge wizard. Keeps my spirits high. My kids got me a new pots/pans set as I was using absolute junk previously. Can't wait to camp but even so, can't even wait to wax her with a beer on the driveway and my music on! Woot woot!

I found a very cool "Campground Journal" with lots of room for recording notes of each campground & site #'s....this will be very handy for us.

Did you?! I want one! Currently I make notes all over our Atlas and in our Colorado Camping book and I have folders and files of every big trip we've ever taken, but I LOVE stuff like this! Can I ask where you found it? Thank you!

Ginny uses one similar to this, actually we're on our second journal after 15 years. It's interesting how the campground entries have changed over the years. Since we've completed 6 loops of the USA, it is a handy reference to campgrounds from our past.

Getting ready for Sebring! The trip is already started if "planning is everything"...but since "planning is worthless" I'm sure to panic at the last minute and leave late!
Nothing like that first night on the road, it is comforting knowing it is too late to worry about what you didn't pack!
Getting the bikes ready, looking forward to the ride through the hammock.
