Edit or deleting a reply

New to f/grv and did not read rules and guidelines to posting as a diligent person should, prior to replying to a post.
I posted my phone number in a reply to a post and would like to edit the post to remove the phone number or delete the post and send it as a PM.
Is this possible?
Appreciate your time and consideration.
Joe

Bring up your post and hit the EDIT button at the bottom of the text window. When the edit window comes up, highlight your text that you want to remove and hit delete. If you try to delete the entire post, it won't do it, so just highlight everything and then type the word DELETED and hit enter. That will remove any unwanted text and replace it with the word Deleted.
You can't delete everything entirely. There has to be at least one word posted.

Actually you can, but only on the website, not the app. After you click the edit button, look for the delete option under the edit window. You have to check a couple of boxes.

Deleting and editing have a 12 hour window. After that, you can contact a moderator using the tiny "Contact Us" link at the very bottom of every page.
