Well...it happened last night at about 8:30! It was a smooth hatching without any complications. The new member of our family weighed in at 600 lbs 3 oz!

Not having had children - baby pictures never did a thing for me.

Now I understand what everyone else was excited about while oogling pictures of newborns.
Thank you for sharing!

Makes me want to start thinking about getting a new baby. Exciting ... Congratulations!

Major cool is right Greg I even like it without the windows and door.

Too cool, can't wait to see the baby all grown up with those finishing touches!

Congrats on the "newborn"! It looks very nice. Can't wait to see it live and in person at Bandon this summer.

Very impressive. I didn't realize that eggs were hatched in one piece. I thought that the tops and bottoms were cast separately and then joined at the midline.

Has your new 13' hatched yet? Are there shots of that?

I'm guessing they have to be cast separately otherwise the resin from the top would just flow downwards until it sets. What we're seeing is probably the final stage where they bond both halves together with more resin before taking both molds off. Just guessing, though.

But it all makes perfect sense now. We all saw how the biggest mold hatching yields a 19' egg. I bet all he has to do is allow the 19' to hatch again to get the 17', the 15' and then the 13' like those russian doll sets.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe The Escape is the only fiberglass trailer that is seamed together while still in the mold. Most others seam the two halves together once the shells are out of the mold. New molds were made for the Trillium so they could also be made with our system.

The 13' hatched about a month ago and is well on its way. I missed getting photos of the initial hatching but....just like chickens....they just keep popping out so I will catch the next hatching!
